The BC Open Textbook collection has been renamed the B.C. Open Collection by BCcampus.
Starting in 2023, the title links in the Full Sets have been updated to the new B.C. Open Collection page. All URLs (856s) within the MARC records are stable permalinks. And the Deletions file contains titles that were archived or were not migrated to the new collection. The 3rd Quarter Additions also contain the new control numbers (001) to be more consistent with the B.C. Open Collection title numbers.
For any library with EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) that has the partner database "BC Open Textbook Collection" currently activated, you will now need to select a new package named "B.C. Open Collection" instead within Holdings Management. As the name and records have been updated by EBSCO to reflect the recent changes. This collection will be updated quarterly by EBSCO if new records are available.

The MARC record set for the titles in the B.C. Open Collection was created according to a standard accepted by the BCLA Cataloguing and Technical Services Interest Group (BCCATS). The cataloguing closely conforms to the Provider Neutral Record Standard (PDF). Cataloguers at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Vancouver Island University were directly involved with the creation of records below. Records are provided in RDA standard, available in MARC format (.mrc) and in eye-readable format (.mrk). Types of files available include:
- Additions - MARC records for titles newly added to the collection during the specific quarter.
- Deletions - MARC records for titles removed, withdrawn, or archived during the specific quarter.
- Updates - MARC records for existing titles that have undergone changes or revisions during the specific quarter.
- Full Set - A complete file containing all current MARC records.
